The show went pretty smooth with Scott hitting the stage at about 1045…he seemed in high spirits playing with his solo band, as he gave them praise throughout. He did not mention anything to do with STP at all during the show. Some of the stp tunes that they played seemed improvised (during the solos) where Scott would call for an extra bar or 2 to get back into place (as if he was just used to hearing the straight STP versions). He seemed to also kind of yammer on alot, almost if he was drunk/high….yet on stage he was only drinking water or gatorade. Overall, he seemed gracious to the crowd and also stated that this first show is one of the coolest to be at because its like the “last rehearsal” before they get everything straight.
